the first week at my new job. I am working as a teacher at a daycare. They were moving me around for the first week to see where I was going to fit and I think I've found my spot. Room E with Miss Billie Jean and the two-ish-year-olds. Those kids are so sweet and Miss Billie Jean is a doll. I am so exhausted and I realized how many nursery rhymes and songs I don't remember....so I am going to study up this weekend and be the best teacher I can be. I also need to shop for my valentine....yikes!

Onward
This blog started a year ago. Clearly, I didn't keep up.
I am now in a very different place in my life. I have graduated from Angelo State with a Bachelor's degree, moved to a new town, and decided to pursue my teaching certificate.
Which leads me to this...
I took the diagnostic test at the back of this book tonight. I got 16 out of 50 wrong. You would think that it would be easy considering that I am 21 years old and should know the basics right? Wrong! This stuff is so hard. Maybe it's not that it is hard...it has just been too long since I've done this stuff.
I've been looking at blogs and pinterest a lot to try and get ideas for my future classroom and activities. Obviously, I don't know what grade I will be teaching or even if I will get a job. However, I am hopeful and excited for my teaching future. Here is a blog that I found and LOVE!

Faith that there are still good people out there...
What a great thing. The little girl is singing in front of a crowd like this for the first time. Her microphone malfunctions towards the end. You can hear a lady start to laugh and then she gets 'shushed.' The crowd then picks up the rest of the National Anthem and helps the little girl finish the song. Thank God for people like this. And God Bless America.

Do Good Anyway
People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
...Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have,
and it may never be enough;

You see, in the final analysis,
it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

We must put the opinions and thoughts of other people aside and do what we know is right. Don't let other people influence you with their thoughts or opinions. Sometimes it is best to just agree to disagree.
